Endorsed by the SPLC Action Fund, the political arm of the liberal Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC is under federal indictment: in April 2026 a grand jury charged it with 11 counts, including wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering, alleging it secretly paid at least $3 million to people tied to the Ku Klux Klan and other extremist groups. The SPLC has pleaded not guilty. The same organization put Moms for Liberty, a parents' rights group with a Madison chapter, on its “hate map” alongside the Klan.123
